EASTER REGATTA UPDATE

Easter Egg Dontation -
The Sarah Fox Children’s Convalescent Hospital was opened in 1964 with the goal of providing medical care for impoverished children. It was partly funded by an Irish woman, Sarah Hilda Fox. Fox saw the great need for a children’s hospital in the underdeveloped and poverty stricken areas of the Western Cape.

Wondering what ever happened to those Easter Eggs you donated? During the week our Sailing Manager, Linsay, went to hand them over to Samantha at the Sarah Fox Children's Hospital. Along with the Easter Eggs, baby clothing, baby blankets and toiletries were donated.

KAYAKING, PADDLING & ROWING

Are you letting your kayak or surfski rot away on the racks at FBYC?

Sell it now!!!

Paddlers Racks
On Sunday 10 June at 11am, the club's famous 'Yacht Grot Sale' takes place and it is a great opportunity for you to get rid of your kayak that has been standing in the FBYC racks for years. You may not recognise it by now, because it is no doubt covered in grime, soot and pigeon poop…

FBYC will no longer allow members to use the kayak racks as their own personal storage space because of the waiting list for kayak racks at present - by people who want to get out on the water.

From July 2018, the start of the club's new financial year, it must be recorded at the front gate that your kayak or surf ski is used at least 8 times a year or your craft will be removed from the racks.

We currently have a waiting list of people wanting to join the club and paddle but cannot because of the number of racks filled by craft that never get used.

Please take advantage of the club's 'Yacht Grot Sale' to sell your kayak and let's give keen paddlers a chance to use their kayaks from FBYC!
