ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 23rd August 2018 at 18h30 in the Crow’s Nest.

The Agenda was placed on the clubhouse noticeboard on Wednesday 8th August. The agenda will be emailed to all members on Wednesday 15th August.

Correction to AGM Notice sent last week is for the proposed changes to the Constitution

THE FUTURE OF COASTAL CLUBS - UPDATE

SA Sailing survey update:
As per the requests to expand the questionnaire to include non-sailing sporting activities at clubs, the questionnaire has been amended and is now live.
Those who have already completed and feel they would like to add to their responses are welcome to do so.

No navigation and weather warnings were received this morning, but please check the Safety at Sea notice board, next to the bathrooms - Red Light will be on if there are Navigation Warnings for the day.

Thur 09 Aug - Ladies Day Race

Despite the stronger breeze, we had a fantastic turn out of 8 boats with 17 of the sailors coming from our training group. It was such a great sight seeing our two training boats out on the water. Thank you Compromise (Tanya Barten) for taking the other students. (See pic below)

A great turn out for this race. Winds were gusty at the start with reading at Fish Hoek beach ranging from 9 - 21 Knots. 10 boats entered, 9 started and 8 finished. All came back with smiles on their face barring one boat, who did not hear the change of course repeated several times, and had to play catch up on the fleet.
