Our neighbour, Cape Boat Ski Boat Club annual flagship offshore tuna fishing competition gets underway with its opening function on Monday night 21st October with fishing hopefully beginning on Tuesday, dependant on weather conditions. Please come down to Millers Point Rumbly Bay for the opening function where you can bid on a team and stand to win large cash prizes should your team win.

Daily weigh-in is around 5 to 7 pm, do come down and join the festivities. All fish are examined by a UCT team of researchers and donated to a worthy cause.

38 boats with around 140 anglers will be competing this year, with anglers from all over South Africa. A few moored boats will be operating out of the Marina.

Tuna of over 100kg are expected and hoped for this year.

Tuesday weather may not be kind and allow fishing, in that case Monday night will be a big opskop.

On the local front in Simons Bay, good chokka continue to be caught and some yellowtail. Good catches of yellowtail and katonkel are being made at and around Cape Point, early mornings. The trek netters are scooping up tonnes of yellowtail off the beaches in Simonstown and Fish Hoek.

Saturday and Sunday weather is looking good for local fishing.

BAZARUTO MARLIN FISHING SEASON 2019

Dear All,
Hope all well, in good health and in dire need for some fishing…

Just got back from an awesome trip to Madagascar where, besides a lot of species we released a 105 Sailfish in 10 fishing days.

However, the best time of the year is to start soon and we just had a couple of last minute cancelations and thus have two opening´s on Vamizi during the peak of Bazaruto´s Marlin Season.

17 – 25 September 2019
Anytime during these dates, good Marlin fishing and also a great time to mix it up with some popper fishing jigging, etc seeing this is when we see our biggest GT`s and real good for general gamefish.

18 – 22 November 2019
Peak time, normally very placid weather and chance of BIG fish…

Anyone interest please contact us or see the package option, rates and details attached or on the link´s below.

Available dates on IBO or Game Changer: Anytime between the 17 to 28 November 2019

Let us know if you need any further information and looking forward to hear from you.
