CLUB REMINDERS & NOTICES
|
Members please note that showers will be closed over weekends between 10h00 and 15h00 due to kids wasting water.
|
As you are aware, water is a precious resource and we just cannot tolerate this kind of behaviour. Please try to assist us in any way you can.
|
We have received numerous complaints of vessels speeding through the anchorage.
|
This is a dangerous practice as people working on their boats could get injured by the wake caused by the speeding vessel.
|
Please note that the entire anchorage is a no wake zone, and that offenders will be subject to disciplinary action being taken against them.
|
|
Lockers have been placed in the cloak rooms for members’ short term daily usage. Please use these lockers with your own lock and ensure lock is removed by the end of the day.
|
|

NAVIGATION & WEATHER WARNINGS
|
|
Strong winds of up to 48 knots forecast for the next 10 days - please ensure your boats are secure.
|
NO navigation warnings were received this morning, but please check the Safety at Sea notice board, next to the bathrooms - Red Light will be on if there are further Navigation and Weather Warnings for the day.

Due to on-going repair costs of the ice flaker, the price per ice voucher has been increased to R35 each and R700 per booklet.
|

PADDLING/ ROWING
|
|
|
|
CCRC enjoyed our last weekend of holidays with a spectacular Sunday morning outing and swim at Miller's Point. The route back via Roman Rock Lighthouse and Longbeach added extra fun. Good turnout of 16 x seats, in two x quads, two x doubles, two x singles.
|
All before the SE breeze came up in time for the sailors!
|
|
We now look forward to our next venture end of February, and first 2020 club tour to Hermanus, for some ocean rowing, and flat water on the Kleinrivier and Stanford lagoon.
