THE BAR IS OPEN - PLEASE NOTE BELOW
- You may order, pay for and collect your drinks from the bar before sitting down.
- Kindly return your empty glasses and bottles to the bar counter.
- Strict social distancing protocols have to be adhered to at all times, whether you are in a queue or sitting down in the bar area.
- Tables and chairs will be set up for social distancing, allowing only 4 persons per table. Do not join any tables please.
- Masks may only be removed once you are sitting down with your drinks.
- The DMA gazetted information states that no more than 50 persons may be allowed at the club at one time.
- With this in mind, please try to accommodate fellow members on busy days so that everyone can enjoy the bar upstairs.
- A maximum number of 40 members signed in at the gate will be allowed upstairs. When considering staff and members, we cannot allow more than 50 persons at the club.
-
Note that the Clubhouse is still closed for any other social activities, including Friday Night Draws. However, members may now make use of the braai/lawn/swimming areas, following the usual COVID protocols of social distancing and wearing masks. Please note that this is for members only, no guests/non-members until further notice. As we are still limited to number of members on the premises (max 50 inside clubhouse and max 50 outside), please book with Yvonne admin@fbyc.co.za should you wish to use the braai area.

If you would like to join the FBYC Angling group please join by clicking on the button below.

Welcome and thanks Andrew Whitehead and Byron Ashington for volunteering to assist me and participate in an FBYC Angling subcommittee.
The Ice machine has been moved to its new position and is back in working order.
I have received many requests for a webcam that will show us a view of the bay. Today was typical, while it was white capping at millers, Simons Bay was fine for chokka fishing.
We intend installing a web camera on the flagpole on rumbles jetty and consequently calling for donations towards the data link, camera and router.
Ideally we need a hi site, maybe someone has a spot?
We have also been donated a new scale by our Commodore, Rob Newman. Thanks.
I have rigged up a block and tackle arrangement for lifting large tuna.
We need a lockable box that can be installed near security so that anglers can sign for the scale when they have a PB they would like to weigh and for future competitions.
We can't leave it up unfortunately, children are likely to play with it and could get hurt. Anybody have a suitable lockable box, please make contact.
