There were more sailors on shore debating whether to sail than there were on the water!
“Windguru” eventually won the toss and only 5 boats ventured out onto the Bay, for a quick race, before the predicted storm set in. (Many thanks to Simon McDonnel for the photos).

Important notice to all anglers
While it is great to see our anglers filling up with snoek after such a long local drought, we ask please that members refrain from exceeding quota and to please observe species limits.
Let's all fish for the future. Due to the ongoing poaching of local perlemoen as well as fish in demarcated reserves, currently, there are officials posted high-up observing boats and diving operations with powerful cameras and binoculars.
Should you see anything suspicious, please report immediately to security or management at FBYC and take a photo if you can.
What was not good to see was the blood and guts left behind from some anglers transporting fish to their vehicles by means of the club trolleys. If you have to use the trolleys, please clean them after use and wash down any blood trails. New trolleys are soon to be provided, together with plastic bins which will be easier to clean, dedicated for FBYC anglers use. Please note that there are new CCTV cameras, with clear, high-resolution footage in our yard, so you will be easily identified and may risk sanction. Best regards, Bryan Fitchat | FBYC Angling.
