REMINDER - LIQUOR LICENCE: ON CONSUMPTION
The club has an on-consumption liquor licence, therefore members and their guests may not bring their own liquor onto the club premises, as this is regarded as an offence in terms of the Liquor Act.
No corkage fee facility is available for wines in the Crow’s Nest Bar upstairs. The facility will still be available when you are ordering a meal from the restaurant downstairs. Arrangements to pay corkage can be set up with Carl when you want to bring your own wines for a function, provided that it does not appear on the wine list.

Jeremy Bagshaw on his yacht Olleana is still making good progress. Simon Curwen has finished the repairs to his self-steering and Jeremy is closing the gap. It’s going to be interesting to see who gets to Cape Horn first. Jeremy is still in 2nd place behind Simon, in the Chichester Class, with only 9,999 Nautical Miles to go.
The other South African entrant, Kirsten Neuschafer, is the new race leader in 1st place with only 6,753 Nautical Miles to go.

Resident Cape Clawless Otter
A friendly reminder to all visitors to our coastline and coastal amenities that the habitation of wildlife is illegal, and that this always leads to a tragic outcome where somebody gets hurt and the animal is often euthanised.
Cape Clawless otters may look cute, but they are predators and are unpredictable, like all wild animals. Habituating these animals will lead to injury. Bites from otters and other wild coastal animals such as seals, can cause severe sepsis.
