FBYC is very proud of our entry, Jeremy Bagshaw on his yacht Olleana, as he approaches the Finish Line.
He is in 2nd place in the Chichester Class, with only 1,127 Nautical Miles to go. We are hoping to watch him cross the finish line via Live Stream.
Please look out for more information on this on the various Whatsapp groups. Go Jeremy!

SA Navy – Cole Point Parking Facility
Please note that we have been given formal approval from Admiral Dlamini of SA Navy. They will allow access to our members with vehicles and trailers, in the Cole Point Parking Facility, over weekends and public holidays.
There are specific rules to be followed please;
- Members may only use the outer, far side of the Cole Point parking facility for vehicles and boat trailers.
- Members requiring access must produce their FBYC membership access card when requested.
- Members must be willing to be subjected to a random search when requested.
- Please park responsibly and consider others.
We note that the location may change to a different section of the parking facility once the museum is set up along that wall in Cole Point. Members will be informed of any changes in the future.
Liquor licence:
The club has an on-consumption liquor licence therefore members and their guests may not bring their own liquor onto the club premises, as this is regarded as an offence in terms of the Liquor Act.
We have reviewed the corkage fee facility and it will not be available in the Crow’s Nest Bar upstairs any longer.
The facility will still be available when you are ordering a full meal from the restaurant downstairs. Arrangements to pay corkage can be set up with Carl when you want to bring your own wines for a function, provided that the wine is not already on the wine list.
Note: Carl has implemented a discount for all members when using the restaurant facility. Members to please produce their membership access cards.

FBYC Treasurer
We are searching for a Treasurer to take over as Chairperson of FinCom. If anyone is interested, please chat to Natasha at the club. 021 786 1703 / manager@fbyc.co.za Bart has decided to retire this year. We are grateful for his guidance and expertise throughout his term on GenCom and he will really be missed.
Please take special note ...
We ask that Members please remain vigilant whilst on club premises and on the marinas. There were break-ins reported over the Dec/Jan holiday period, with access gained from the water. Please take precautions to safeguard your assets.

Parking on the hard during the week and on weekends
