Curfew: 23h00 until 04h00

Masks are to be worn at all times whilst on club premises. NO MASK – NO ENTRY.

Hand sanitizing and temperature checks will be conducted at the entrances. All members to sign-in on the Covid Access Form or preferably use the FBYC Covid App.
|
The bar and clubhouse will close at 22h00 and last rounds will be called at 21h00. Members to please leave the premises by 22h00.
|

|
We are adhering to our 50% capacity at this stage, but members may use the club facilities, following COVID regulations.
|
Please call the office (021 786 1703) if you wish to use the braai/lawn facilities, bearing in mind capacity limits.
|
|
Please be considerate as we can only allow a maximum of 150 persons outside of the clubhouse with proper social distancing.

Pisces Divers clean up False Bay Yacht Club
|
|
|
On Saturday, the 18th of September, Pisces Divers collected 85kg of debris during their underwater clean-up of our marina.
|
Items collected included a Nedbank credit card, a diving mask, very crusty sunglasses, and the usual plastic, cans, bottles, rope, etc. They also found a 4m 50mm pipe!
|
All the rubbish was sorted and taken to the Simon's Town recycling centre.
|

Covid protocols at tournaments
It is confirmed that all participants and support staff still require a negative PCR Covid test 72 hours prior to participation. Opening and closing functions may be held providing the venue has sufficient space to ensure social distancing.

Great excitement with plans in place to welcome our German tour visitors back to SA in mid-October. Holding thumbs that all things COVID considered allow the smooth running of our rowing adventures, a first for our club on Eastern Cape waters.
|
|
A group of CCRC rowers and some spouses will join our Gauteng and Oldenburg Ruderverein friends at Kenton on Sea to kick off the tour, which will continue to Port Alfred, Plettenberg Bay, with the last stop in Knysna before re-grouping in Simon's Town.
|
|
Boat maintenance has gained momentum to have our fleet and trailers ready to roll by then. Huge thanks to our maintenance team for your time and dedication to execute Bryne's expert vision of boats in as good as possible knick at all times.
|

Coaching in and outdoors of our Lawhill Maritime students has taken off despite South Easterly interferences. As a safety deterrent, it has lead to brilliant indoor training on Erg machines with coach Derrick, as well as floor exercises ideal for strength and core training. Welcome to Liz Cotton who's taken over coaching management from Alison, thank you ladies and kind coaches.

Two of our boats, a quad and double had great fun in the chop joining the FBYC fleet on Saturday afternoon to greet Commodore Newman.
