Temporary Contractors Access Control

Members may arrange for temporary contractors to work on their vessels provided that the member informs the club admin office in advance via email, admin@fbyc.co.za, or by calling 021 786 1703.

Temporary Contractors may not be on the premises unless they have been contracted by a member to do the work. They may only work during club office hours; 08h30 to 17h00.

This person has to be signed in by the member at the admin office and may remain with the member for the period without paying a temp contractors fee.

Should the person arrive without the member, it has to be queried by our Customer Service Officer at the point of entry and the person has to be escorted to our admin staff downstairs for verification.

Thereafter the contractor's register must be signed and a temporary contractors fee of R20 will be charged, per person, per day. This fee can either be paid directly by the temporary contractor, or the member can be invoiced for the period worked by the contractor.

The temp contractor has to wear his own safety vest for identification on the premises. During Covid lockdown, we are not handing out a safety contractor's vest.

Intasure Spring Regatta

The Intasure Spring Regatta 2021 attracted 42 entrants and it was fantastic to see the activity on the water again!

Race Day 1 was a great introduction to wash off the cobwebs while Day 2 saw some exciting and challenging conditions for the fleets, with the last boat home making it with 6 seconds to spare before cut-off!
Race Day 3 dawned hopeful but sadly racing was abandoned. Nonetheless, it was a great event.

Thanks to all the sponsors for making it happen and to the sailors for their participation!

The results and photos will be published soon.

Many thanks to our partners and sponsors
