FBMT at the Kleinbaai Bottom Fish Inter-Provincial (10th – 12th July)
False Bay Marlin & Tuna FBMT proudly had two teams take part in the Kleinbaai Bottom Fish Inter-Provincial held from the 10th to the 12th of July.
On behalf of all the anglers and skippers who participated, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the organizers for an outstanding tournament. It was an incredibly well-run and enjoyable event that left a lasting impression on all of us. Most notably, it served as a huge inspiration to our junior anglers, we are confident that this experience will encourage many more young individuals to get involved in the sport.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to making the event such a success. We also wish to acknowledge and sincerely appreciate the support from our members and their families, your efforts do not go unnoticed.
Western Province Juniors • Kodi Goosen – Captain • James de Klerk • Keaton Lane
Our Junior Team placed 3rd Overall out of five teams. We are exceptionally proud of their achievement, especially considering the tough weather conditions they faced. These three young anglers fished with great determination, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow and succeed in their fishing journeys. Well done! All three Anglers were capped at this Tournament and received their Provincial colours
Western Province – Blue (Senior Team) • Gareth Decker • Jacqui Decker
Our Senior Team delivered a fantastic performance, placing 2nd Overall out of seven teams. We hope their success inspires more of our members to join in, fish in league events, and experience what these tournaments have to offer. We had a Member Skipper in the tournament: • Andre de Klerk – Andre placed 2nd out of the Skippers for the Junior Boats. This is a fantastic Achievement. Well done Andre Please see the links below to read the written daily blogs covering the tournament:
