Sailing Meeting
|
Our Rear Commodore Sailing held an informal discussion on sailing at FBYC. It was well attended, and he had plenty to report back to the GenCom. He intendeds to have this meeting every month. Sailors will be informed on the Racing and Sailing Whatsapp Groups.

Youth Talk
|
A talk was held on Thursday 16 October, with Bruce Tedder, Ryan Gibson and Vuyie giving their insights and journeys in the yachting world.
|
Bruce is from the Ocean Sailing Trust, Ryan Gibson is a former Clipper Round the World Skipper and presently a Superyacht Captain and Vuyie is about to become the first woman, from a township, to skipper a yacht in the latest edition of the Cape to Rion race at the end of this year.
|
The talk was very interesting, informative and well attended.
|

Racing Buoy / Mark
|
STBB has come onboard to sponsor the racing buoy, Clan Stewart, which will now be called the STTB Buoy.
|
|
|
|
|
|
COF’s:
Jason Mills and Paul Dennett are qualified and available to do SA Sailing Hull & COF surveys on sailing boats.
Paul Dennett can now do LGSC surveys for private sailing yachts.
They can be contacted through the Club.
