Steam Train Dreams Come True for Almon (3)
Living with a life-threatening illness is challenging but especially so when you are just 3 years old, which is why Reach for a Dream wanted to ensure young Almon of Cape Town got to reach one of his special dreams. Obsessed with trains in the manner of all things Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends television character, Almon – who had never seen a real steam engine before - got to ride on the Ceres Rail Company classic locomotive as it puffed its way from Cape Town city centre to the peaceful slopes and lapping seashores of Simon’s Town.
Alighting from the train at Simon’s Town Station, Almon was welcomed by festivity and fanfare from local music buskers followed by a special lunch booking at the newly launched 34º South Restaurant located at the False Bay Yacht Club, which is open to the public.
Almon is pictured enjoying his day at the False Bay Yacht Club accompanied by his Mom and Dad and both his Grannies, and hosts Eleanor Pretorius of Reach for a Dream and 34º South – FBYC Restaurant Manager Stef Vermeulen.

FIREWOOD FOR OUR BRAAI AREA
We're thrilled to announce that False Bay Yacht Club is now providing fire wood for our beloved braai areas! To help cover the costs and ensure we can continue offering this service, we kindly ask for a donation of R30.00. You can simply add this donation to your bill of food and drinks at the bar or restaurant.
Your support ensures we can keep the fires burning and the braai areas ready for your enjoyment.
Thank you for your generosity and continued support. Let's fire up those grills and make some memories together!
