RENEWAL OF SUBSCRIPTIONS

Dear Members

Renewal of Subscriptions:
Member Subscription invoices for the year, 01 July 2024 to 30 June 2025 were sent out in July. Thank you to those members who have already made payment!

Kindly note that in terms of the Club’s Constitution;
All subscriptions shall fall due on the 1st July of each year and are payable by the 1st August. Any member whose subscription is not paid within 3 months of due date, i.e. by 1 October, shall cease to be a member and be barred from entering the club.

Resignation:

Should you not wish to renew your membership, you are obliged to advise the Club (Anna) admin@fbyc.co.za.

Any resignations received after 31 July will incur pro-rata subscription fees up to the date of resignation.

Remember to always keep your membership in good standing.

SAILING NEWS & UPCOMING EVENTS

Spring Regatta 2024

This year’s regatta was a great success. We managed to get all races in with a new format, which involved more coastal type racing.

FBYC wishes to thank INTASURE, our primary sponsor, South African Sailing, Ullmann Sails, Seaport Supplies, The Scone Shack, Paintsmiths, STBB, Greeff, Just Roasted Coffee Company, Southern Point Marine, ARK Inflatables, Allport Cargo Services, The Silk Purse and Nautic Sailing, our sub sponsors for their contributions. A special thanks to the STMC for making mooring available to our visiting competitors from other clubs.

We’d also like to thank Ant Wentworth, the race director, Steve Casey, the race officer and his bridge crew, Patrick Loydell, the chairperson of the protest committee, the bar staff, the 34° South – FBYC staff and all the other people that helped make this event a great success.

Agulhas Race 2024

Unfortunately we had to postpone this race to a later date, TBA.

Moorings for racing boats 26’ or less

FBYC together with STMC have re-introduced cheaper moorings that will be available to boats that take part in Club Races. These mooring are very limited and will only be given out with certain T’s & C’s. You can come to the Sailing Office to find out more.
