Youth Sail Training

On Saturday all the Lawhill students requested a swimming lesson, and a successful session it was – we built their confidence and swimming skills in one short morning. The other team went out for a great sail and got rained out while out there. The second group chose not to sail as the wind had died and rain came down. Woody set up the laptop and ended the session with a few great sailing videos and group discussion.

Reminder for Kayakers & Surfskiers:
Informal paddle, Saturday 3 March at 10am on the water

The 'First Saturday of every month' paddle happens this coming Saturday 3rd March at 10am on the water at the slipway closest to the kayak racks.
  • This is very informal, a chance to ask questions, get more familiar with your kayak or surf ski and paddle with a group if you are not able to get on the water too frequently.
  • You must be a member of FBYC, must have your own kayak, a life jacket and preferably have a safe place to keep your cell phone.
  • The long-term weather forecast at the moment is for mild conditions so things are looking good!
  • Next month, 'The First Saturday of every month' paddle will be on Saturday 7th April.

The club is busy with an audit of the COF register and boats without a valid COF as at the end of April 2018 may be confined to moorings.
