Sailing Results:
Wednesday 14/02/2018:Summer Twilight Series – Race 8 of 10 We have had another successful race week with Wednesday Summer Twilight Series Race 8 of 10 seeing 8 boats enter and 6 finishing.
1st Jabulani helmed by Hannah Bury in practice for the Ladies Helm Race, 2nd Pure Magic and 3rd Reaction. Saturday 17/02/2018: Ladies Helm. Saturday was the Ladies Helm Race with an earlier than normal start of 11h30 – despite the unusual start we saw a record fleet number of 16 boats. Was a fantastic turn out and great to see so many ladies helming. I am sure the great weather played a huge part in bring the great fleet of boats to the water, whatever the reason I do hope to continue seeing great numbers for our next few races.
1st Jabulani helmed by Hannah Bury, 2nd Pure Magic helmed by Owami Zuma and 3rd Little Wing helmed by Kim Dustan.

More sailing news:
GREAT NEWS! The Brass Bell Easter Regatta is happening 30 March – 01 April.
The Bay to Bay race will also be happening Race from FBYC TO HBYC 14/15 April as a feeder race for their Admirals Regatta 21/22 April, Race to FBYC from HBYC 28/29 April.
Please let Linsay know if you will be interested in doing this race as Hout Bay have offered free moorings for visiting boats for the duration but spaces are limited. The Admiral’s Cup forms part of the WC Flamenca Inshore Circuit so this may be of interest to our Flammie skippers.
Lipton Cup 2018: Due to Lipton being held in Durban this year and the associated costs, FBYC won’t be sponsoring a Lipton Team however any members wanting to participate on behalf of FBYC can do so but this will be at their own expense.
Handicaps: It has been decided by the Sailing Committee that all of the FBYC boats racing will need to to get measured for ORC and they have until June 2018 to do it for free. Paul van Tellingen and Andrew MacKenzie are happy to donate their time freely. There has been a suggestion to have a measuring day where we can all pitch in to get the boats measured. Please let us know if you are interested.
