Notice of immediate implementation of water rationing across Cape Town

The City of Cape Town has activated water rationing to forcibly lower water usage in line with water restrictions across the metro as phase 1 of its critical water shortages disaster plan.

Water usage remains dangerously high above required levels.

Rationing will lead to intermittent supply, likely during peak water consumption hours in the mornings and evenings. It wonâ€™t result in a complete shutdown, but some areas may experience short water outages. Service will be restored as quickly as possible. Please note the following key points:

Please keep up to 5 litres of water available for essential use only during rationing.
Please do not store excessive water.

We are currently in Phase 1: Preservation Restrictions
Please save Water!!!

FBYC SAILING

Sailing results:
Wednesday 11/10/2017: Spring Twilight Series – Race 6.
Wednesday Spring twilight race 6 of 10 saw 13 boats out on the water. Wind was perfect and a great race was had by all. Results are as follows 1^st Jabulani, 2^nd Firefly and 3^rd Pure Magic.
Saturday 14/10/2017: Round-the-Cans Series 1 – Race 1 of 4
Saturdayâ€™s Round the Cans series 1 Race 1 of 4 was blown out, but all enjoyed the Beerfest festivities and the live Volvo in-port race.

FBYC are the host club for the Bay to Bay race on the 10-12 November and the False Bay start point. HBYC will be the Atlantic start point and their fleet will start simultaneously with ours … heading down to Cape Point … passing each other and then rounding the start buoy in the opposite clubs and sail all the way back from the point and home again. Has all the makings of a great race.
Note the starting time is 5pm (17h00) on FRIDAY 10 November 2017.
