Saturday 14/10/2017: FBYC BEERFEST – featuring ROBIN AULD
Reminder that there is a cover charge of R20 for non-members.

Slide guitar, harmonica, African blues guitar stylings and soul vocals all feature in the fresh sound of Robin Auld. Well known to SA audiences from hits like “All of Woman” and “Baby you been good”,  his music over the years has evolved from the poprock sound of his early recordings to the contemporary mix of blues and roots that makes his sound today. Born in Lusaka, Zambia to Scots parents, Robin’s childhood was spent alternating between Southern Africa and Scotland; a journey reflected in the African and Celtic influences in his music. He learned to play the guitar by listening to Hendrix, Ry Cooder and Neil Young, also absorbing influences from the various guitarists of Southern Africa.
Based in Cape Town, he has performed and recorded in New York, London, California, Glasgow and Nashville. His latest album “Back of Line” has been well received in SA and also had play in the UK and the USA. He tours home and abroad both solo acoustic and with an electric trio. For more info go to:
